ElecChk3000 is our check recovery program that resubmits "NSF" checks electronically to the customer's bank for payment. These checks are processed via the Federal Reserve ACH system and debits the customer's account for the face amount shown on the original check. The information on the customer's bank statement reflects the redeposit of the original check. ElecChk3000 does not involve contacting your customers by phone or sending any threatening demand letters. ElecChk3000 alleviates the hassle of you trying to collect on your "NSF" checks and it only takes 3 business days to settle.

Follow the merchant's attempt to collect on a "NSF" check:

1. Typically the bank may take up to 14 days to forward a returned check back to themerchant and this is after the bank has already charged a fee, around $5.00.
2. The merchant is responsible for sending a 10 day demand letter for payment and trying to contact the customer by phone.
3. The merchant may have to wait weeks or even months for payment and there is a fair chance the "NSF" check won't get settled.
4. If the merchant tries to redeposit the check a 2nd time, there may be additional bank fees charged to the merchant's account.
5. If the merchant is unsuccessful in collecting payment from the customer, the "NSF" check may be forwarded to the District Attorney's office or to a collection agency. This may extend the collection process up to approximately 4-6 months.

1. The "NSF" check is resubmitted via the Federal Reserve ACH system to the customer's bank for payment.
2. The customer's bank processes all electronic transactions first and debits the amount of the original check.
3. Customer's bank submits the electronic file back to Elec Chk with a return code reflecting the transaction has been "Cleared"or "Returned".
4. Upon clearance of the transaction, funds are electronically deposited into the merchant's account on the fourth business day.
